How many people will turn up is a major consideration for anyone organising an event.  The 3am thought that wakes you up – will anyone come?

However, Paul Kane and his practice nurse Donna Harris did a splendid job and we had a fabulous turnout which left standing room only at The White Hart in Modbury.

Rebecca Bailey MRCVS and BASC’s ‘resident vet’ provided a very instructional and useful talk on field injuries and first aid for dogs.  Vaccinations, Parasites & Digestion also held the interest of the 120+ attendees.

The promised buffet was infact a splendid beef stew with mash potatoes and peas and the raffle, which had some 30 donated prizes ,raised £364 for  The Gamekeepers Welfare Trust.

A further event is planned for 2012 in Devon and one in the Taunton area.
