Michael Hardy and Alan Jarrett have been elected onto BASC Council and John Thornley OBE has been re-elected. 

The results of the council election were announced at BASC’s AGM on Saturday.
 
Michael Hardy is from Angus in Scotland and is a gamekeeper and shoot manager. He is a BASC shotgun coach, sporting referee and safety officer.
 
Alan Jarrett is from Chatham in Kent and is a business consultant and elected politician. He was a member of BASC Council from 1989 – 2004, during which time he served as vice chairman and chairman. He has been chairman of the Kent Wildfowling & Conservation Association since 1983.
 
John Thornley is from Ashbourne in Derbyshire and is an author and legal consultant in countryside law, firearms and deer management. He is a former police superintendent and was awarded the OBE in 2000 for services to the protection of wildlife. He was first elected to Council in 2007.
