Lucinda works tirelessly to promote fieldsports. She has a hugely successful company called Gundog Girls, which not only promotes gundog training and competitions for ladies through events and demonstrations, but is a great platform for getting them interested in shooting.
Many of her clients start off just wanting to train their dog, so that they can attend a shoot, then through their involvement with Gundog Girls get interested in the clay shooting. Lucinda teams up with other organisations to offer ladies clay shooting and gundog days – which are hugely popular with many ladies picking up a shotgun for the first time.
Lucinda runs another successful business, Girls on the Gunbus a sporting agency with ladies in mind. This offers a wide variety of tailor made shoot day packages that appeal to women, from the driven days to the chance to shoot over your own dogs.
As if this was not enough, at all the shoots I manage, Lucinda provides a service through Shootday Upcycling utilising much of our waste products of feathers and cartridges, making them into various creations like brooches, jewellery and millinery. These items are sold online and sent back to our shoot lodges for clients to purchase. Many are custom made orders using Guns own cartridges and feathers from their own birds shot. This is hugely popular and makes our industry that little bit more sustainable.
I have never met anyone who has done more to promote shooting and in particular to the ever-growing female sector.

Lucinda actively encourages non-shooting people out into the field where she teaches and encourages them.
We need more Lucinda’s in the shooting world to make sure future generations enjoy our wonderful sport.
