BASC has undertaken over 200 individual COVID-19 shoot visits ahead of the game season to provide expert practical guidance to aid gamekeepers and shoot managers.

The free visits help shoots form their own individual risk assessments and provide advice on how to operate in a ‘COVID Safe’ way.

The visits have now been extended across the UK, with each country tailoring their advice to the latest available guidance relevant to that area.

Dan Reynolds, BASC director of England, said: “We are delighted that the shoot visits are proving such a success. The take up levels and feedback have been exceptional. These visits will help to ensure game shooting can go ahead in a ‘COVID safe’ way this season.

“The guidance given will allow shoots to operate safely and show that the shooting community is playing its part in helping to tackle this global pandemic.

“Bookings are still being taken for site visits, and our regional staff are working flat out to ensure that shoots can access the support they require ahead of the season.”
