The Highclere Game and Country Fair was held on Sunday 26th & Monday 27th May, and enjoyed good weather on both days.

Members of the South East regional team enjoyed a busy two days and were supported by the Langston and district wildfowling and conservation association, who bought along an impressive display of fowling memorabilia and photographs. As in previous years the punt gun, dating back to the 1850’s, generated a great deal of interest from the passing public.

Alan Wey of Alan D Wey & Co, custom gun and rifle maker, bought an array of both modern and antique sporting rifles, while BASC trainer Stanton Royle and BASC firearms expert Mike Eveleigh were both on hand to offer guidance and general advice, on all matters relating to firearms and the law.
