The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), has teamed up with Harrods to promote game meat.

Ten thousand Harrods-branded BASC game recipe leaflets have been printed and will be given out at the iconic London store.

The leaflets will be available in Harrods’ food hall during BASC’s National Taste of Game Fortnight, which will run from 6th – 20th November. National Taste of Game Fortnight forms part of BASC’s ongoing Game’s On game promotion campaign.

BASC’s director of operations, Simon Hamlyn, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have teamed up with Harrods and hope that this partnership will encourage more people to enjoy eating game.”

A range of events have been organised as part of National Taste of Game Fortnight, including a major game tasting event at Borough Market in London on 11th, 12th and 13th November.  During the Borough Market event, people will be able to sample a traditional taste of game and game with a tandoori twist prepared by some of the world’s top chefs including restaurateur and broadcaster Mike Robinson.

A number of local and regional events and competitions have also been organised. Details and a number of tasty game recipes can be found at www.gameson.org.uk
