There will be an unusual challenge facing BASC’s Jenni Thompson when she makes a real leap of faith this September.
Jenni, who is regional officer for the south east, will be doing a tandem sky dive on Saturday 5 September at Hinton airfield, Northamptonshire to raise money for the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute (RABI).
Both charities work to help people in the rural communities (farming and gamekeeping) in times of need, hardship or distress as well as helping to support people wanting to train in their industry.
Jenni said: “I am proud of my rural roots and proud of the work farmers and gamekeepers do to keep our green and pleasant land looking that way. This challenge is my way of saying thank you, by helping to raise the profiles of these two important charities, but also to help put something back into a countryside I know and love.”
Jenni is currently looking for a sponsor to help cover the cost of the sky dive, and also welcomes any individual donations. If anyone can help they can contact Jenni on 01798 865165.
