There are a number of pubs and restaurants promoting game throughout the BASC Taste of Game Season this year by including game on their menus.

The South of England Autumn Show & Game Fair will be the final show of 2012 for the BASC South East Team in what has been a challenging year for rural shows.

BASC South East held a Gundog evening on Friday 14 September at East Dean village hall, East Dean, East Sussex. The evening, which was sponsored by Chudleys working dog food, was very well supported with some people travelling a considerable distance to attend.

BASC will be working with shooting interests on National Nature Reserves (NNRs) following a decision by Natural England to open its freehold NNRs for public access under section 16 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act (CRoW).

The BASC deer team were extremely busy throughout both days of the game fair. Staff were on hand to deal with deer stalking queries, stalking schemes and stalking related courses.

Firearms dealers from across Northern Ireland discussed proposals to significantly increase firearms licensing fees in the Province at a meeting organised by BASC NI.
