Layout 1BASC members have saved more than £2.5 million on the purchase of new cars this year by using the association’s exclusive discount scheme.

Under the scheme, members can secure discounts when buying new vehicles from 19 of the world’s leading manufacturers.

Nick Glazebrook, BASC head of business development, said: “Last year was a record for the scheme, but we have surpassed that figure already in the first eight months of 2016.

“The scheme is rapidly growing in popularity because people recognise the good deal they receive as part of an excellent overall membership package.

“We have worked hard to secure these exceptional deals covering many of the world’s leading car manufacturers and will continue to add to this portfolio. This is another example of why it really does pay to be a BASC member.”

Savings are available on a full range of vehicles from small family cars to 4x4s, pick-ups and vans. The scheme includes models from Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Isuzu, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo and Vauxhall.
