wildfowlingpermit2016BASC members can now download the latest edition of the association’s wildfowling permit scheme booklet.

Affiliated wildfowling clubs and other organisations provide information for the booklet, which explains how to obtain wildfowling permits in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Permits are offered by many BASC wildfowling clubs, various countryside organisations and local authorities.

This year, the scheme is joined by Halton Wildfowlers and the Highbridge, Huntspill and Burnham Wildfowlers.

BASC wildfowling officer Mark Greenhough said: “The permit scheme is going from strength to strength, year on year. We now have more wildfowling clubs taking part than ever before, and the scheme provides wildfowling opportunities on many of the UK’s most iconic marshes, from the Estuaries of Scotland to Lindisfarne.”

BASC council member John Dryden said: “As the UK’s largest shooting organisation, BASC is committed to making sure that wildfowling opportunities continue to be accessible to members across the country. The conservation work done on these marshes is vital, and wildfowlers play a key role in that.”

The booklet is available to download here.
