A specific COVID-19 document for game shoots in Northern Ireland has been published by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, BASC.

The document follows a similar pattern to England, Scotland and Wales, and is aimed at advising game shoots on managing the risk posed by COVID-19.

It provides a broad overview of the aspects of a shoot day that may present a risk and how they can be effectively managed.

Tommy Mayne, Northern Ireland director, said: “The creation of this document will boost confidence that all actions are in line with government guidance and best practice.

“This season will not be business as usual, but with the help of this document shooting is certainly open for business.”

The Latest information can be found here. BASC Northern Ireland are undertaking shoot visits to help individuals form a risk assessment for the season, if you would like a COVID-19 guidance visit please contact the Northern Ireland office on 028 9260 5050.
