BASC’s shotgun coaches set a new record at this year’s CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle.

The coaches broke the record for the number of lessons given during a game fair providing 535 people with a lesson.

Lessons cover everything from gun fit, eye dominance, safe handling and live firing on clay targets with BASC coaches catering for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced shot.

BASC’s director of shooting standards, Peter Marshall, said: “Our professional coaches worked incredibly hard over the three days to provide in depth lessons to hundreds of people of all ages. The coaches do such a good job and have encouraged tens of thousands of newcomers and youngsters over the years to take up shooting following their lesson at the game fair.”

BASC’s membership stand was also kept busy during the game fair. The team took more than 350 memberships over three days.
