BASC is aware of video footage being circulated on social media and elsewhere which appears to show a buzzard being shot in High Halstow, Kent. We have issued the following statement:
Dan Reynolds, BASC England director, said: “BASC is urging anyone with information on this incident to contact Kent Police on 101 quoting crime reference 11-0064.
“As a member of the Raptor Persecution Priority Delivery Group, BASC is committed to stamping out the last vestiges of the illegal killing of raptors.
“Considerable progress has been made by the shooting community to reduce raptor persecution to historically low levels. The shooting community is rightly enraged by any incident which undermines this good work.”
