Rural rate relief for small businesses including those involved in shooting will be raised by a tax break.
BASC has welcomed the announcement in the Chancellor’s Autumn statement that the rural rate relief for small businesses in rural areas will be raised to 100 per cent, giving a tax break of £2,900 a year.
Philip Hammond MP outlined the plans in his first Autumn statement in the House of Commons on Wednesday.
Conor O’Gorman, BASC’s policy development manager, said: “We were heartened to hear that the rural rate relief for small businesses in rural areas will be raised to 100 per cent, giving a tax break of £2,900 a year. This is good news for some shoots, clay grounds and shooting-related small businesses.”
