There will be a new shooting event on offer for wildfowlers in Northern Ireland on 3 October at Field of Dreams in Bangor.

The ‘BASC Wildfowlers Challenge’ has been organised as a fundraiser for Strangford Lough Wildfowlers and Conservation Association but a percentage of the money raised will be donated to the RNLI.

Competitions include a pool trap, a 30-bird sporting layout, a three-man 30 bird flush, a dog & gun event and also an air rifle stand. There are excellent prizes on offer including £100 for Top Gun.

Tommy Mayne from BASC Northern Ireland said: “It is hoped that this will become an annual event, with each of the wildfowling clubs on Strangford Lough taking their turn to host it. Field of Dreams is a first-class sporting venue and thanks must go to Maurice Brown for his continued support.”

Competitions will commence at 11am until 4pm. Lunch is available and there will be a raffle on the day.
