Bill Bailey wildfowling course for webAn Introduction to Wildfowling Day, designed to give Young Shots experience of wildfowling, will be held at Dolphin Shooting Ground, near Preston, Lancashire on Saturday 9th November.

The event, organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), working with Preston and District Wildfowlers, will provide youngsters with coaching on all aspects of wildfowling. Young Shots will also have the opportunity to practice with clays before going onto the local marsh for the evening flight with experienced Guides.

Duncan Thomas, BASC’s North West regional officer, said: “Young Shots are my most important objective and what Preston and District Wildfowlers are offering is first class instruction as well as a great opportunity to try something new in a safe and supervised environment. It is set to be a great day and we look forward to bringing wildfowling to a wider audience.”

There is no age limit for the day but Young Shots who wish to attend must have some experience with a shotgun and be considered safe.

The day will cost £40 and will run from 9:15am, cartridges will be provided by BASC and suitable clothing must be worn. The day is open to both BASC members and non-members.
