Reinstate general licences as a matter of urgency, BASC tells Defra

BASC is calling on Defra to reinstate the general licences that were withdrawn by Natural England last month as a matter of “absolute urgency”.

BASC survey completed by 22,000 people and rising.

BASC glad the EFRA committee is “drilling down” into decision.

Environment secretary reiterated the importance of contributing to the Defra review.

An average of 500 responses have been received each hour since the survey was launched.

People can email Defra direct and complete a short online survey.

Hopefully the first step to “resolving the current chaos in the English countryside”.
