The annual Eastern Regional Gamekeepers’ Clay Shoot took place at the Mid Norfolk Shooting School on Tuesday, 9 March 2010. The event was sponsored by Janssen Animal Health and King’s Game Cover and Conservation Crops. Colin Moir from King’s presented the prizes.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will host two new attractions at its Gamekeepers? Fair 2010. Visitors to the event at Catton Park in South Derbyshire on 17th and 18th April will be able to visit Stalking 2010 ? a dedicated deer stalking and management village. There will also be a new food hall which will showcase local and national producers and suppliers of high quality food and drink.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will sponsor the England team in this year?s World Hunter Field Target Association (WHFTA) championships.
The WHFTA, in collaboration with Countryman Fairs, will host the championships at Kelmarsh Country Fair at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire, on 4th and 5th April.
Game and wildlife management students from across England and Wales competed at the first clay shoot challenge for students of gamekeeping organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). Eighty eight students from nine colleges tackled a difficult 100 bird sporting layout at the BASC Gamekeeping College Challenge at Doveridge Clay Shooting Ground, Derbyshire, on 16th March.
Foodies in Anglia got a taste of game at an event part-sponsored by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). The Tastes of Anglia Feast East event took place from 4th ? 6th March. The event, the regional food festival for the east of England, was held at Chilford Hall, near Linton in South-East Cambridgeshire.
BASC?s Norfolk roadshow was held on the 12th of March at Easton College.
The main hall boasted 30 stands and a ST-2 shooting simulator, which was busy all evening.

This week more than 40 gamekeepers and employers have completed the new Scottish snaring accreditation. The series of courses was run by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), in association with the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA).
