BASC Sponsors Field Trial

BASC sponsored a novice retriever trial in
Leicestershire on 16 September. As well as underlining
our commitment to support our gundog clubs this
enables us to thank our hard-working volunteers by
inviting them to shoot on the day. Regional director
Steve Bloomfield picked the team from volunteers who
give up their free time year after year to work at game
fairs and other events that BASC would find hard to
staff without their help. The team shot well for a strong
field of dogs.

Ladies Have Their Day

Strong winds did not deter our ladies who battled on undaunted at Cockett Farm
Shooting Ground, Nottingham in September. The excellent facilities and choice of targets
at the ground made for a successful and thoroughly enjoyable day. Many thanks to all.
The ground has a purpose-built clubhouse with disabled facilities and serves an
extensive menu. For further details and opening times, call the team on 01623 882244.

Summer of fun

The South East Young Shots have enjoyed a fun packed summer with two activity days attracting nearly 60 participants overall. The first day was held at Plumpton College near Lewes and the second at the Southdowns Gun Club near Findon.
