Andy has been shooting for over 45 years. He grew up on a farm in Shropshire and his father was a top clay shooter in the 60’s and 70’s, so there were plenty of opportunities to shoot and learn. He is a keen game and clay shooter. Andy qualified as a BASC coach in 2004 and is also a member of APSI. He is a regular instructor at Hownhall Shooting near Midhurst and is happy to coach at other grounds and on the peg.

I have been shooting since the age of 18 going on to shoot at Bisley from 1980 to 1984. Along the way I have gained a vast amount of experience shooting many types of different firearms, including pistols, target rifles and shotguns.
I also shot competitively on the UCPSA circuit here in Northern Ireland for 10-15 years, winning a few competitions along the way. However, nowadays my passion is for teaching and introducing newcomers into the sport I love so much and I have enormous passion for.
