I have recently become a Shotgun Coach after over 40 years experience in all forms of shooting.
My aim is to introduce as many new people to our sport in a safe and enjoyable manner.
I offer personal lessons for individuals or groups on my private shooting ground on our Mid Devon farm away from other pressures and distractions.
I particularly welcome total beginners and intermediates and have the facilities to produce almost any target.
I also give airgun lessons and introductions on a 40 metre outdoor range and a 20 metre indoor range with all types of air gun and pistol.
I can also bring traps to your location, subject to suitability

Stephen has a varied background in shooting having competed in pistol, rifle and shotgun events.
After years of coaching pistol shooting, and some informal shotgun instruction, for his shooting club; Stephen completed the year or so of training required to become a BASC Shotgun Coach. Since then he has coached for BASC exclusively in Scotland operating at most of the main fairs. A Safe Shot Assessor, and a nationally qualified NRA Range Conducting Officer. Coaching activity includes Cluny Clays in Fife Scotland, and also for a farmer friend who runs an activity centre offering Quads, Hovercraft and clay shooting at Craigluscar Activities near Dunfermline in Fife. I have helped at several young shots days and a ladies day, held jointly at Trochry and the Dunkeld shooting ground.
