bird-boxes-for-local-primary-300x189Thanks to everyone who has sent in photos of their bird boxes (S&C March/April 2015). The Conservation Club at Bellhaven Hill School in East Lothian is going all-out to help the local environment.

The bird box project is ongoing and to date they have built 65 boxes, with 20 already erected at local schools and nurseries. The boxes are all made using scrap wood from pallets supplied by the local Belhaven Best brewery. The students have also built a bird hide and tree nursery from scrap wood, glass and even milk bottles.
