Last season, Thomas Owens (aged 8) joined the Hummicks Shoot at Exbury in Hampshire. The shoot captain, Cliff Harvey (pictured with Thomas), is very keen to encourage youth into the sport. After just a few weekends, Thomas asked if he could make a presentation to the Guns and beaters about his experience of beating, which went down very well. A copy of the presentation is now laminated and placed in the beaters’ hut.
