The Forestry Commission centre at Grizedale, Cumbria will provide the venue for BASC’s ‘Introduction to Deer Stalking’ day on 24 October 2009.

The day will include presentations on general deer behaviour, ecology and biology along with deer law, firearms law & safety, gralloching and lardering skills, stalking equipment and techniques. Involving indoor and outdoor practical sessions this is an ideal opportunity to gain an insight into deer management with professional deer managers.

The cost of the day is £60 for adults and £40 for BASC Young Shots members who accompany an adult and includes a ‘course pack’, light lunch and refreshments. For further information please contact Steve Woodhall on 01539 564400 or email steven.woodhall@basc.org.uk
