ladies day 2LADIES from across Wales were able to try a wide variety of countryside sports under the guidance of BASC-accredited coaches at the Nanteos Mansion Country House.

Nineteen women took part in activities including clay shooting, archery and a gundog training display.

Meurig Rees, BASC Wales officer, said: “A great day was had by all who attended with great feedback, at a fantastic venue in beautiful spring sunshine. It was good to see such enthusiasm. There was a talk on falconry and a chance to handle various types of birds of prey including some four-week-old baby owls, along with a short flying display.”

He added: “If there are any ladies out there who would like to be part of a similar day, then please get in touch.”
