There will be two more opportunities for young people in Oxfordshire to try shooting sports next month.

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) is holding a Young Shots’ activity day on Sunday 11 May at Glympton. The day will include sessions of clay target shooting instruction, air rifles, falconry and gamekeeping as well as a gundog handling demonstration.

BASC South East is also holding a Young Shots progression day on Wednesday 28 May. The day, which is aimed at young people with more shooting experience, will include instruction on shooting safety, shotguns and cartridges, shooting law, gun fit and handling, patterning and range judging. There will also be sessions of shooting instruction with BASC coaches and a team flush competition.
