BASC calls for partnership to save the Hen Harrier

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation has welcomed the government’s statement on supporting the recovery of the hen harrier population by taking “targeted action”. Family countryside activity day

A family countryside activity day will be held in Wolverhampton during the half-term break. People will be given the opportunity to participate in gundog training, game cooking and tuition for fly and coarse fishing. BASC welcomes Wooler report on RSPCA prosecutions

The independent Wooler report on the RSPCA’s prosecutions policy has been welcomed by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). The report, commissioned by the charity, found that the RSPCA’s prosecution policy was unstructured and lacks transparency and accountability. The report said this damages public confidence in the organisation.
