.410International competitors will attend this year’s BASC .410 World Championships; a clay-shooting competition using the smallest-calibre shotgun in general use.

The event is organised by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). Gamebore Cartridges will sponsor the competition and donate 3,000 .410 cartridges as prizes.

The competition will be held on Saturday 27th September at the Mid Wales Shooting Centre near Caersws, Powys. Competitors can enter the open, ladies or junior classes (under 18) plus a new additional class for BASC members and a pool shoot. The winners of each class will receive Gamebore cartridges, a silver salver, a trophy and a BASC goodie bag. The overall high gun will be presented with the .410 World Championship Challenge Cup.

Meurig Rees of BASC Wales said: “I have seen this event grow year-on-year with people attending from around the world to compete with their .410 shotgun. I look forward to welcoming this year’s competitors on the day.”

David Scott from Gamebore said: “We are proud to have signed up with BASC and the Mid Wales Shooting Centre to sponsor the .410 World Championships. As well as a serious competition, it is always a very friendly event. If anyone hasn’t tried their hand at shooting clays with a .410, they should come along for what is a very enjoyable and well- run event with some great prizes.”

The competition will start at 10am with last entries at 2pm. Entries will be accepted on the day. Participants who do not own a .410 will be able to borrow one.
