Nine-year-old Olivia has been out deer stalking with her dad quite a few times already. At school, she is known for being talkative, but she can be very quiet in the woods.

She seems to prove the point that being stealthy is more important than wearing camouflage too – at least half a dozen deer have paid the price for not spotting her pink clothing. In fact, her dad gets a deer more often when she comes out with him.

Here is a picture of her with a muntjac her dad shot and her first-ever squirrel, shot with grandad’s air rifle. Now that she has shot something herself, her dad has promised to buy her some proper country clothes!

Would you like to have a go at shooting? We run great Young Shots events for any level of experience and age throughout the country.

You can find an event in your area on the Young Shots event’s page.

Olivia loves spending time with her dad. They regularly go deer stalking together. Olivia recently shot her first-ever squirrel too.
