A Glamorgan pub has teamed up with the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) to offer food lovers a taste of game next month.

The dinner at The Pelican Inn in Ogmore Village on 20 February has been organised as part of BASC’s Game’s On campaign.

Tickets, which cost £25, can be bought direct from the Pelican Inn – for more information call 01656 880049 or email: steve@pelicanpub.co.uk

BASC’s country officer for Wales, Meurig Rees, said: “Game such as pheasant, venison or rabbit is natural, healthy and delicious and in recent years has become increasingly available both at local farm shops, butchers and supermarkets. If you’re unsure on how to prepare and cook your game, then come along and have it all done for you and enjoy the evening with good wine, good food and in good company.”
