The Somerset Lady Guns are a group of like minded ladies that enjoy shooting, mostly from Somerset and surrounding area’s this ladies shooting group is open to all abilities and welcomes new members.

We caught up Louise Ktoris (long standing member of the club) after the fantastic Somerset Lady Guns annual summer gathering, in association with BASC, getting together for an informal day of fun, food, clays and coaching!

Louise says “Each year we hold a summer gathering for our Lady Guns. It’s a fantastic opportunity for members old and new to meet in a relaxed and informal setting for a day of fun, food and shooting. Each year we like to refresh our knowledge of many aspects of shooting and conservation be that with clays or game.

We are proud to be associated with BASC, and we invite our SW representative James Green, who is an advocate for the association, along for the day to impart much knowledge about being safe, looking after your gun, master classes in game bird preparation and coaching with your shooting to name but a few.

We find that these gatherings allow our Lady Guns (that are all ages, shapes, sizes and ability) the opportunity to ask questions that pop up in their shooting journey and to embrace new elements of the sport. We like to focus on the social aspect of being a club and bringing our members together in this way is one of the elements we enjoy”.
