Advanced Airgun Hunter Course

BASC has developed its BASC Advanced Airgun Hunter Course.

The award will improve the training and help improve standards within the sport to help protect and promote airgun shooting for future generations.

The aim of this course is to equip the candidate with the knowledge, understanding, and awareness of airgun hunting techniques. The course comprises of a one day training course for people who already have experience in handling airguns and some experience hunting along with some understanding of knowledge in this area. The course is not designed for novices.

The course covers:-

  • Quarry ID
  • Range Judging
  • Windage and Using the Scope
  • Law incl Permissions etc
  • Field Craft
  • Static Vs Stalking Techniques
  • Reactions to Shot

Cost

  • £110 BASC members
  • £145 Non-members

Course Requirements

  • You must be 21 years of age or over to register for this course.
  • Experience of handling different types of airguns
  • Experience of setting up and running club range events and competitions
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment in these areas.
