Airgun Instructor

BASC has redeveloped its Airgun Instructor award.

The award will improve the training and help improve standards within the sport to help protect and promote airgun shooting for future generations.

The aim of this course is to equip the candidate with the knowledge, understanding, and awareness for a basic airgun instructor. The course comprises of a one day training course for people who already have experience in handling airguns and some experience helping, assisting or instructing others along with some understanding of knowledge in this area. The course is not designed for novices.

  • Safety & Rifle Handling
  • Types of sights
  • Basic Shooting Positions, Techniques & Fault Finding
  • Instructing requirements
  • Guidelines for trainers

Cost

  • £110 BASC members
  • £145 Non-members

Course Requirements

To undertake this award you will be expected to have a good knowledge of a variety of airguns, the different types of operating systems and experience in their use.  You must be aged 21 years or over to register for this course.

Should there be insufficient bookings, BASC reserve the right to cancel the course. In the interests of fairness BASC will aim to provide candidates notification of cancellation as soon as possible prior to the advertised start date. We strongly recommend that fees for any accommodation you book are refundable as BASC will not be responsible for any losses incurred by candidates. If for any reason you cancel your place on the course then the following scale of charges may apply:-
