Shotgun Coach Award Foundation Day
Who is this course aimed at?
This is an excellent one-day course.
It is primarily delivered as a prerequisite for those wishing to proceed to the Shotgun Coach Award but also very interesting for those wishing to learn more about the world of coaching.
It is designed to give candidates an introduction to, and a better understanding of, what is involved in the BASC Shotgun Coach Award.
Course structure
Subjects covered will include:
- Kit required for coaching
- Stance
- Eye dominance
- Gun fit
- Shooting skills, including techniques for hitting a moving target
All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
Cost
- £135 BASC members
- £160 Non-members
Entry requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or over.
- Candidates must be experienced clay or game shooters with knowledge of a large variety of sporting targets
- Candidates must have held a shotgun certificate for a minimum of 4 years

Should there be insufficient bookings, BASC reserve the right to cancel the course. In the interest of fairness, BASC will aim to notify candidates of a cancellation as soon as possible.
Candidates will be offered the option to transfer to another course if available. We strongly recommend that you book refundable accommodation as BASC will not be responsible for any loss incurred by candidates.
If for any reason you cancel your place on the course, then the following scale of charges may apply:
