Bag Recording for Wildfowlers

This forms part of the Green Shoots Mapping programme. The programme can be used on a variety of electronic platforms (PC/ tablet/ phone). All data entered will be on a secure, backed up server.

There are four sections for individual members:

  • Bagged It – is where you can record what you shot and create reports on your shooting.
  • Seen It – is where you can record wildlife you see, both quarry and non-quarry, which can provide extremely valuable conservation knowledge.
  • Map It – is where you can map the land you have access to for shooting.
  • Custom Maps – is where you can create annotated maps of your shooting areas.

Manage It – is a fifth section only accessible to club officials. Clubs can set up returns so that they can manage bag return data from their members.

The presentation given at the 2016 Wildfowling Conference gives further background and information on the development of this system.
